The Club is reversing the general trend and is growing it’s member base each year. In 2026 numbers are expected to grow even more, with the reintroduction of the U19 Grade, making the Bays Rugby Club one of the largest in the southern hemisphere.

The Club has a committed philosophy of developing local players and building strong links with the local secondary schools, in particular Rangitoto, Long Bay, Westlake, Albany Senior High, Rosmini, Kristin and Pinehurst, along with offshore clubs Toyota (Japan), Capillano (Canada) and Bath (UK).
